Residenza Conte di Cavour & Rooftop

I have traditionally stayed at upper-midscale chain hotels. These tend to be branded hotels with many services available and some amenities. I was looking for something within walking distance of specific activities, shops, museums, and public transportation. I wanted to be in an authentic, neighborhood type of location feeling part of the culture, not removed from it. The location was perfect...walking distance to everything...short ride from the airport. The frills associated with chain hotels would have been wasted as the hotel provided what was needed...a comfortable, clean room, and a quiet environment for sleeping. If you are looking for a western, cultural experience, this is not it. This is what you need if you plan to spend much of your day and night experiencing Florence. A final comment: The staff was so pleasant, welcoming, accommodating, and knowledgable providing great advice on restaurants, directions, attractions, etc. Also want to do a call out to Federica...outstanding representative of the property and of Florence. Absolutely love her!

There is not enough to say about Residenza Conte di Cavour & Rooftop. First, I want to thank Clara at their sister location. The day we were set to arrive we had a nightmare situation and getting to the location was a nightmare in itself. Clara at the reception desk was warm, welcoming, and kind and it was really appreciated when we had a very difficult day. The room itself was very nice. We had double vanity sinks with a spacious bathroom. The shower area was lined with marble/granite and was very nice. The rooftop view is easily accessible and a great location to enjoy a coffee while watching the sunrise. You can see the dome of the Duomo. The location of this Hotel is perfect. You are 7 minutes walking to Piazza del Duomo and 15 minutes walking to Ponte Vecchio. I would highly recommend this Hotel to a couple traveling on a romantic getaway.

We had an absolutely amazing time during our stay. From start to finish, the service was exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our room was perfect: spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. Having access to fresh water and coffee at any time of the day was such a thoughtful touch and made our stay even more enjoyable. The rooftop was simply sensational, offering breathtaking views of the beauty of Florence — a true highlight! But what truly set this experience apart was the incredible hospitality. Federica’s kindness and dedication to guest comfort did not go unnoticed, and we deeply appreciated every moment. There’s nothing we would change — everything was perfect. We recently spent two nights at this lovely hotel. Check-in was very easy at their sister hotel as we arrived a little later than planned. We met Federica and she is such a lovely, warm, welcoming woman. It was my birthday so she upgraded our room which was a really kind gesture. The location was great for us. The rooftop is wonderful both day and night. As a female travelling with my teenage daughter, we felt very safe which is important to me. We did not hear any noise from our room which was the room with steps to a mezzanine level. I requested an iron and ironing board and it was left in our room while we were out so was ready for us when we got back. The cleaning was of a high standard with lovely white fresh towels every day. Loved the shower in our bathroom! Check-out was easy too. We left our luggage in the sister hotel where it was tagged and looked after until we collected it later in the day. We spend a lot of time in Florence, normally in an Airbnb, but now we will always stay here every time. Top tip. Instead of instinctively turning left when leaving the building to go into the historical centre, turn right. In a few steps you will find a lovely caffe on the corner of Piazza San Marco. We stayed in Florence for one night. The hotel was centrally located, a stone's throw from the cathedral. Federica welcomed us very warmly and friendly. The rooms were clean. We especially liked the small kitchen we could use. The view from the roof terrace is beautiful. It can get very hot during the day, but in the evening you can comfortably enjoy the sunset and a drink above the city's rooftops. We also used the valet parking for €40. Everything worked smoothly. Breakfast was available at the sister hotel, which is just around the corner and offered a sufficient selection for €10.
